Red River Waterway Commission begins improvements at Brouillette Recreation Area

Natchitoches, Louisiana … The Red River Waterway Commission has begun construction on improvements at the Brouillette Recreation Area in Avoyelles Parish.  In conjunction with the project the boat launch will need to be closed to public use beginning the week of October 29th. The project includes construction of a dock along the bank of the Red River and widening of the boat launch.  Citizens can expect the boat launch to be closed for a 60-day period.

The Commission advises citizens to use a boat launch at other facilities during this time. For the latest updates, www.redriverwaterway.com.
